Mark Valeski Relocated to Arkansas

Mark Valeski | Airdrie

Mark Valeski (Proud Citizen–Pocho's Dream Girl, by Fortunate Prospect) will relocate from Central Kentucky's Airdrie Stud to Lake Hamilton Equine in Royal, Arkansas. The deal was brokered by trainer Cody Autrey's Autrey Bloodstock.

Mark Valeski retired with earnings of more than $658,000 for trainer Larry Jones and owner/breeder Brereton C. Jones. His signature wins came in Belmont's GII Peter Pan S. and the GIII Mineshaft H. at Fair Grounds.

Mark Valeski initially retired to Woodford Thoroughbreds in Reddick, Florida as a partnership between Woodford and Airdrie Stud. Both parties retain their ownership of the stallion as he moves to Lake Hamilton Equine.

His first crop includes 2-year-old stakes winner Backtohisroots as well as the GII Remsen S. and GIII Nashua S. runner-up Network Effect.

“Mark Valeski was as honest as they come on the racetrack, and his runners are showing that same great will to complete,” Airdrie Stud's Bret Jones said. “While he never got the big books or pedigrees that high-profile stallion prospects enjoy, he has punched well above his weight in siring talented and sound racehorses that can win at the best racetracks in America. He is the perfect stallion for Arkansas breeders to use to take advantage of the great purses at Oaklawn Park, and our partnership is very happy that he'll receive this opportunity to succeed.”
